Deer in Urban, Suburban or Rural Environments: The Need for Intensive Commitment
Guest Speaker: Justin Gansowski is a Wildlife Disease Biologist – USDA, APHIS, Wildlife Services.
Lovely as they are, overpopulations of deer can negatively impact the environment in a variety of ways. Justin’s presentation will explain the role that deer play in each of these environments, present case studies and provide recommendations for appropriate interventions. This presentation is suitable for all, but certainly anyone currently facing property damage caused by deer and all policy makers should attend. A Representative from the Food Bank of CNY will be there to describe the Venison Donation Program.
