C-OFOKLA has recently been named an Associate Organization with the Upper Susquehanna Conservation Alliance (USCA). Organized in 2010 by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, USCA promotes landscape level conservation in the New York portion of the Susquehanna River/Chesapeake Bay watershed. This effort has resulted in 50 organizations and 176 members working together in this portion of the watershed. For the past 5 years, the Service has sponsored annual meetings in order to strengthen partnerships, share funding opportunities, and work collaboratively on conservation projects.
USCA is organized into a series of Work Groups which include:
- Land Conservation
- Flood Prevention
- Brook Trout Recovery
- Fields and Young Forests
- Mussel Recovery
- Hellbender Recovery
C-OFOKLA is actively involved in the Outreach Work Group.
